New Patient Onboarding Forms:
After you book your first appointment, we will email you a link to fill out your new patient on boarding form. Should you run into any trouble filling them out at home, you may come 20 mins prior to your appointment to fill them out in our clinic.
Prepare for Your Visit
1. Your first visit usually includes a consultation followed by an acupuncture treatment. It takes about an hour depending on patients and cases.
2. Please eat something before you come in to the office, as it is undesirable to be treated on an empty stomach.
3. Please do not take painkillers on the day of your office visit, or take a low dosage if you have to, because painkillers will mask your pain and increase difficulties of diagnoses.
4. It is convenient that you wear or bring loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that can be easily moved or removed to access acupuncture points.
5. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes, as other patients may be sensitive or allergic to fragrances.
6. We require that you have seen a physician and/or chiropractor for your conditions before your initial visit. Please bring a copy of the diagnoses from your physician or chiropractor for our records. A superbill, test results, or diagnoses on physician’s prescription script are sufficient.
7. All acupuncture needles are pre-sterilized, pre-packaged and disposed of after use.
8. Please turn off your cell phone when you enter the office. No phone calls are allowed.
9. Please keep your voice down when treatment sessions are in progress.
10. Please check with your insurance company if acupuncture is covered in your plan. We are Out-Of-Network providers. some Insurnace plans do cover while other may not.
What To Expect
1. A comprehensive consultation that may include checking your conditions, inspecting and palpating your body, reviewing medical histories and current medications.
2. An acupuncture treatment that many patients feel very relaxing.
3. Some patients may receive Chinese herbs, dietary and lifestyle recommendation.
4. Answer your questions and explain how acupuncture works and your treatment plans and treatment scheduling.
After Your Treatments
1. You will be able to work after treatments, although some people prefer to go home and relax.
2. Drink enough water and do not engage in strenuous activities immediately.
3. You may feel energized, relaxed, or sleepy that is normal.
4. You may have localized soreness and heaviness, or bruising. They are temporary.
